Upstate SC Rainbow Trout Fishing

I went on a camping trip to the Chattooga River in upstate South Carolina. Last time we came here, I didnt have the right equipment to catch these soft hitting rainbows.This time I loaded up with 8 Rainbow Trout and my girlfriend caught 3, all in about half the time. I used 4lb test line and 3" pink trout worm. In a group of about 10 fly fishermen with waders, nets, flies, etc. I seemed to hook up just as often with my $25 walmart rig. A great trip and I cant wait to go back again reel soon!

Fishing is great in Hilton Head... Redfish Bite is On!!!

The last week the Redfish bite has been on. Though a busy week overall, i got to put some great people on some good fishing in lower traffic areas thanks to my 22ft Panga Marine. Fishing mostly on the bottom the week with cut mullet has proven successful. Although, once you get a few good fish in one spot, smaller fish are brought in and the big bite seems to shutdown. These folks pictured came aboard early in the morning and were decked out in brand new fishing shirts from Outside. They certainly looked like fishermen in that brand new gear but it was the guide who put these fish in their hands.

Pictured: The Ornoff family with a nice slot Redfish and one that was 29'' long. Mom had the largest one of the day at about 32''.

Summer is Here!

Welcome back everyone!

I am glad to inform you that summer is in full swing and business is booming. Fishing has been great due to a large influx of baitfish (pogeys) close to shore. The spainish and king mackeral bite is real good. The Redfish are abundant and the Seatrout are biting. Shrimp are finally getting large enough to use for bait and this year Fishing is Fantastic.

Nice Big Redfish off Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Id say this one was about 29 inches and too big to keep for dinner! Caught a half dozen the same size while doing some rewiring on my boat. Very Nice!!!

My New Boat!

New 22ft Panga Marina Boca Grande! 2007 Hull with Brand New 2009 Evinrude Etec! Going down to Tampa to pick up the boat this weekend! Totally new design for the panga. Options include new leaning post/live well, poling platform, two bench seats for passengers. Also i will be putting in another marine stereo on this boat as well. Looking forward to getting on this thing and spending more time on the water.
